Over 400,000 patio umbrellas have been sold in Costco Retail Large Box It was called due to a malfunction that could cause it to catch fire.
Consumer Product Safety Commission issued call announcement This week after six incidents of product malfunction were reported.
One incident resulted in a person being sent to hospital with a smoke inhalation problem.

“The company has received six reports of overheating of lithium-ion batteries,” the commission wrote. “This includes three reports of solar panels catching fire while charging via the AC adapter indoors, two reports of umbrellas catching fire when the solar panel disk overheated and caught fire while suspended on the canopy, and one injury from smoke inhalation.”

The council urged owners of umbrellas to stop using them immediately.
“Consumers should immediately stop using the awnings, remove the solar panel disc containing the lithium-ion battery from the top of the awning, store the disc out of the sun and away from combustible materials, and not charge the disc with an AC adapter.”
Consumers can return umbrellas to any of them Costco warehouse website to receive a full refund. Individuals who are unable to return the product may contact Costco for instructions on receiving the refund.

Beginning in July, Costco will require membership cards from customers looking to fill up their gas tanks.
“Effective July 5, 2022, your active Costco membership card will be required for gasoline purchases,” the store announced this week.
Until now, Costco sites New Jersey is unique for its open lines and lack of membership requirements to fill out a vehicle.
