Amazon today unveiled its most powerful tablet ever, the Fire Max 11. As the name suggests, this device has an 11-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 2000 x 1200.
At the helm sits a “powerful octa-core processor” from MediaTek (MTK8188J), backed up by 4GB of RAM. The fingerprint sensor is built into the power button. You get 64GB or 128GB of expandable storage, and up to 14 hours of battery life from an unknown capacity cell. The charger that comes in the box is 9W, which takes over 4 hours to fully charge the device. There is a 15-watt adapter that you can purchase separately that cuts that down to 3 and a half hours.
There is a pair of 8MP cameras, one on the front and one on the back, and support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. Dolby Atmos dual speakers as well. The Fire Max 11 is Now for pre-order Starting at $229 and shipping next month, as do the accessories: a keyboard case attached via pogo pins, and a stylus. If you want the full package, you will have to pay $329.99.
These prices are for the version with lock screen ads. If you don’t want to see it, the tablet costs $244.99, and the full package is $344.99. Whichever version you buy, you’ll get a three-month trial of Microsoft 365 Personal (afterwards $6.99 per month), which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, 1 TB of cloud storage, continuity across devices, and data protection.
