A gunman posed as a law enforcement representative Friday. He is from the US. He had a Marshals Service badge and a federal ID card. The US Marshals Service deals with, among other things: ensuring security at courthouses, prisoner transport and refugee hearings.
“I am extremely grateful that security guards at Gavin de Becker and Associates (GDBA) responded alertly and quickly. They located and detained an armed man who approached me during a speech at Latino Heritage Days at the Wilshire Ebel Theater in Los Angeles,” Kennedy wrote on the former Twitter X site. The police grabbed the man from the guards and arrested him.
