The incident happened a few days ago in the city of Portoviejo in western Ecuador. Disabled Pedro Luis Toala Rezabala, better known as “Lagrimita” (Teardrop – Ed.), sits in a wheelchair in front of his house and broadcasts live to his fans on Tik Tok.
Scenes on the street
At one point, two motorcycles appeared on the street and started shooting at the 33-year-old man. The man pulled out his gun and tried to defend himself, but he had no chance. He died on the spot.

Local media reported that 71 people watched the live broadcast of the murder. The incident was recorded not only on social media but also on surveillance cameras.
The accused fled from there. The police are searching for them who have registered a case and are investigating. These may be scores between local gangs.
The gunman was not a saint. According to local media, the 33-year-old has previous convictions for robbery, drug trafficking, aggressive behavior and illegal possession of weapons.
His lifestyle was responsible for his disability. Rezabala survived an assassination attempt a few years ago, but was paralyzed from the waist down and had to use a wheelchair.
