peloton Tuesday experienced a major outage meaning that at least some users were unable to attend live and on-demand fitness classes.
According to the Services page on its website, Peloton said around 11 a.m. ET that it was investigating the issue.
“It may affect your ability to take lessons or access pages on the web,” she said.
Peloton shares turned negative, down about 3% in late morning trading on Tuesday.
The reason for the outage wasn’t immediately clear, though it did affect both Peloton bikes and their running machines, known as Treads. Slack owned by Salesforce It was also low for some users Tuesday morning, hampering workplace communications.
Some Peloton members have taken to Twitter to express their frustration with the online services. Some said they were just getting ready for a workout while the app was down – and others were in the middle of a workout.
