A month-long blockade by Polish truckers on the Ukrainian border has delayed deliveries of battlefront necessities – and there is no end in sight to this conflict.

Truckers began blocking roads leading to border crossings on November 6, creating lines that stretched nearly 20 miles and lasted for weeks in freezing temperatures, impeding the transportation of pickup trucks, gangs, night vision equipment, drone parts and other medical materials and supplies.

Polish drivers are protesting competition from their Ukrainian counterparts, who they say is undermining their business amid relaxed EU transport rules.

“This means that the Russian military will have the ability to kill Ukrainian soldiers and terrorize civilians for several weeks longer,” said Oleksandr Zadorozhny, director of operations at the KOLO Foundation, which helps the Ukrainian military with technology and cannot deliver materials.
