In a post on the X website, Tucker announced that he was in Moscow on Tuesday and arrived there with his own money. Tucker said in his post that since the start of the war in Ukraine, Western journalists have interviewed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky several times. Generally “the flattery was intended to strengthen Zelensky's demand that the United States become increasingly involved in the war.” Meanwhile, nobody tried to talk to Putin.

He responded to this allegation: CNN journalist. “Does Tucker really think that journalists have not sought an interview with Putin since the first day of the Russian invasion? This is ridiculous. Reuters reports that the Kremlin has confirmed that Vladimir Putin gave the interview. Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Putin agreed to interview Carlson because the former Fox News anchor's approach differed from the “one-sided” coverage of the Ukraine conflict by many Western news outlets. He added that Tucker's approach “is in no way pro-Russian, it's not pro-Ukrainian — it's pro-American.”
