Apple today confirmed that WWDC 2024 will begin on June 10, where we can expect the release of iOS 18 and key new AI features. In a new report today Bloomberg He reiterates that iOS 18 will be “the most ambitious iPhone software overhaul in its history.”
However, there is one thing we shouldn't expect at WWDC, which is Apple's own AI-generated chatbot similar to ChatGPT or Google Gemini.

Several sources have reported this over the past few weeks Apple will collaborate with a partnerlike Google, to power at least some of the new AI features in iOS 18. Apple has also reportedly held talks with Baidu and OpenAI about potential partnerships.
In today's report, Bloomberg Mark Gurman wrote that Apple's announcements “will include a slew of new proactive features to help users in their daily lives.” However, the ads will not include Apple's chatbot. The report says:
Apple's AI strategy will include a slew of new proactive features to help users in their daily lives. However, the company is not planning to launch its own AI-powered chatbot. Instead, Apple is in talks with potential partners such as Alphabet Inc's Google. and OpenAI to provide generative AI services, Bloomberg News reported.
In addition to the new AI features, iOS 18 will also reportedly include UI changes, as well as new home screen customization options. In particular, iOS 18 will reportedly allow iPhone users to freely place app icons on their home screens, without being restricted by the current grid layout.
As for this year’s watchOS 11 update for the Apple Watch, Bloomberg He says we should expect a “minor update.” Apple is also working on VisionOS 2 for the Apple Vision Pro, along with updates for iPad, Mac, and Apple TV.
