The latest Google Pixel 9 leak reveals the third, smaller model

Google's Pixel 9 lineup will look very different according to the latest leaks that reveal a third, smaller Pixel 9 device that will be sold alongside the Pro models.

91 mobile Published today Images from OnLeaks that reveal the Google Pixel 9, the third device in the company's flagship lineup for 2024. This device has only two cameras, as the previously leaked Pixel 9 Pro and the other Pixel 9 offered three cameras.

This third device falls in line with a previously leaked roadmap for Google's Pixel release plans where it was said we'd be getting the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL.

This third model, according to CAD-based renderings, will have a smaller display compared to the Pixel 9 Pro, which was leaked in January, but only marginally. This device is expected to have a screen size of approximately 6.2 inches, and the size of this smaller device will be approximately 6.03 inches. However, its body size appears to be the same as that of the Pixel 9 Pro at 152.8 x 71.9 x 8.5mm, so the difference appears to come in the form of larger bezels (hidden in the shared renders).

The design of the third Pixel 9 aligns perfectly with the Pro models, with flat sides and a redesigned camera bar on the back. The camera module appears to be 12.1mm thick.

Another interesting design change in this model is the bottom of the device which loses the speaker slot and replaces it with a SIM tray.

This shift to Google's flagship Pixel lineup is interesting, to say the least, but it appears to be paving the way for the elimination of the “A” series in 2025 (also mentioned in the leaked roadmap), along with a new Tensor chip made by TSMC. From Google.
