Same chip, smaller bezels, 2000 nits screen

With specs like UWB arriving at the FCC, more Pixel Watch 3 details have leaked, including codenames for the 41mm (selene/helios) and 45mm (luna/sol) models. (There are two that reflect the Bluetooth/WiFi and LTE versions.)

according to Android AuthorityThe Pixel Watch 3 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 chip, just like last year’s Watch. Today’s spec leak doesn’t specify a “custom coprocessor,” as both the first- and second-gen Pixel Watch featured a Cortex M33.

The display brightness will go up to 2,000 nits, up from 1,000 nits today. That new brightness matches the Apple Watch Series 9, while the Ultra 2 already hits 3,000 nits. Meanwhile, the bezels have shrunk from 5.5mm on the Pixel Watch 2 to 4.5mm on both sizes of the Pixel Watch 3.

The 41mm model, which has a 32 x 32mm screen size and 408 x 408 resolution, will certainly benefit from this. The 45mm Pixel Watch 3 has a 36 x 36mm screen size and 456 x 456 resolution.

Based on previous renders, the overall design of the case has not changed.

In terms of colors, both sizes will be available in silver and black cases. The 41mm will be available in gold, while the 45mm will come in a “hazelnut” (green) case. There will also be a rose quartz strap to match the Pixel 9.
