Now you can access your Galaxy phone files in Windows File Explorer wirelessly

Currently, there are several ways you can wirelessly transfer files from your Galaxy phone or tablet to your Galaxy Book running Windows 11. One of them is to use the Link To Windows app on your Android device and the Phone Link app on your PC.

With these apps, all you have to do to transfer files between the two platforms is open the My Files app installed on your phone through the Phone Link app on your PC. Well, Microsoft is now making it easier to transfer files between Android devices and computers.

Microsoft has Advertise Microsoft has announced that it has started rolling out an update to all Windows Insider channels. With this update, Windows 11 can display your Galaxy smartphone or tablet in the file explorer to enable you to transfer files between the two platforms.

Once you select your Galaxy smartphone or tablet in File Explorer, it will show you all the files on your Android device in the same way as your computer. You will then be able to rename, delete, move these files from one folder to another within the device, and copy and paste these files to your computer. Needless to say, you will also be able to transfer files from your computer to your Samsung phone or tablet using the new feature.

To get this feature, you need a device running Android 11 (or later) and 1.24071 (or later) of the Link to Windows app installed and running Windows 11 on your PC, which you have chosen in any of the four Windows Insider channels: Canary, Dev, Beta, and Release Preview. To enable this feature, go to Settings » Bluetooth & Devices » Mobile Devices » Device Management And run Access File Explorer.
