“Our world is shattered. Bebe was taken from us in an act of unimaginable violence that has broken our hearts beyond repair,” insist the parents of a 6-year-old girl who was stabbed in Southport, Great Britain.

Lauren and Ben King’s eldest daughter Jeni also described attending a dance class targeted by the attacker. “She witnessed the attack and managed to escape. She showed incredible strength and courage and we are proud of her. Her resilience is a testament to the love and bond she had with her younger sister,” they asserted.

The parents thanked everyone who supported them immediately after the attack and expressed their appreciation for the rescue services. Lauren and Ben King remember the two girls, 7-year-old Elsie and 9-year-old Alice, who died in the July 29 stabbing. “Our thoughts are with all others involved in this tragedy and the loved ones of those injured,” read King’s statement.

Tragedy struck Southport on the morning of July 29. A 17-year-old boy attacked children attending a dance class with a knife. As a result of the attack, three girls died and nine children and one adult were injured.
