“These documents were illegally obtained by foreign entities hostile to the United States to interfere in the 2024 elections and sow chaos throughout the American democratic process,” Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung said in a statement sent to CNN.

A representative of the Republican campaign committee referred to a statement released by Microsoft on Friday. Iranian special services have stepped up efforts to influence the US presidential election by creating disinformation websites targeting liberal and conservative voters and attempting to hack into the computers of campaign officials. White House reaction

The White House has condemned all attempts at foreign interference in the US presidential election to be held in November this year.
