Kraven the Hunter features Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Vicious Vigilante facing off against Spider-Man’s villain Rhino.

The latest trailer for Kraven the Hunter is here, offering our first look at Spider-Man villain Aleksei Sytsevich, aka Rhino.

The footage shows fierce fighter Aaron Taylor-Johnson embarking on a brutal and bloody mission, facing off against a number of formidable foes as he works on a “list.” One of those villains is Rhino, played by Alessandro Nivola, who appears at the 2:07 mark to confront the fearsome bounty hunter during a chaotic stampede scene.

The first trailer for Kraven the Hunter offered a brief glimpse of Sytsevich’s transformation into a rhinoceros, but the latest sneak peek offers a closer look at the character’s eventual transformation into the horned beast. He throws a powerful punch, which Sergei Kravinov (aka Kraven), played by Johnson, manages to dodge, but a fight ensues.

The film also sees a new appearance from Russell Crowe, who plays Nikolai Kravinov, the cruel father of the character named Taylor-Johnson, as well as Ariana DeBose as Calypso Eisele, Fred Hitchinger as Dmitri Smerdyakov/Chameleon, and Christopher Abbott as the Alien, one of Spider-Man’s many adversaries.

Kraven the Hunter, Sony’s first R-rated Marvel movie and Sony’s second Spider-Man Universe (SSU) movie coming in 2024, following the critically panned Madame Web, has been slated for a long time. The film has faced several setbacks and delays on its journey to the big screen, but now it has finally been given a release date.

Sony Pictures has made some changes to its April release schedule, including moving Kraven the Hunter from its August 30th date to December 13th — the same month as The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, Mufasa: The Lion King, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Robert Eggers’ vampire reboot Nosferatu.
