The tragic incident took place in November last year. One day, the relatives of Nohema Grober, a Spanish teacher at Fairfield High School, were worried that the woman would not be able to walk home. On November 3, he was reported missing by police.
The students brutally retaliated against the teacher
Soon, services made a dramatic breakthrough. The body of a 66-year-old woman was found in a nearby park. Investigators found that she was brutally beaten with a baseball bat.
Police quickly identified the suspects – 16-year-old Willard Miller and Jeremy Goodell, students of the woman. The boys probably followed their teacher and learned about her daily habits. The woman, every evening, while walking to her favorite park, was attacked indecently and then hid the body.
Investigators have not released the reasons they set for such a heinous act. The Western media unofficially reports that the boys want revenge on the teacher for the bad marks.
The teenagers were charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and violent crime. A lawsuit is currently being filed against them in Iowa court.
A representative of one of the defendants applied to have the case transferred to the Juvenile Court. The judge, however, showed no mercy on the boys and rejected the request. Both teens will be tried as adults. They could even face life sentences without parole.
