A mother of three children died on the road. The assailant was armed with a knife

The horrific crime took place in the early hours of Tuesday, August 6 in the center of Ipswich, Suffolk. Courtney Mitchell, 26, was stabbed by the perpetrator. The assailant ran away with a barrage of assaults. The passers-by saw the woman who was fighting for her life in a pool of blood and immediately called for help.

A mother-of-three was killed on an Ipswich street

Courtney, a mother of three children aged eight, four and two, was taken to hospital where she died a short time later from her injuries. Soon after the attack, the police launched a manhunt for the killer and arrested a 27-year-old man. The man is being interrogated at the police investigation centre. Officers also found two knives near the scene. It is not known if these are murder weapons. The knives are currently undergoing forensic examination.
