Celebrating the arrival of the brand’s latest Ozworld collection, adidas Originals launches the world’s first AI-generated avatar platform, In association with Ready Player Me. Designed to enable and unlock the pursuit of self-expression for all, the Ozworld online experience enables users to create their own unique digital selves, which can then be transmitted across the web exclusively with Ready Player Me – a cross-app rendering platform for the metaverse that allows anyone to explore virtual worlds with a single identity consistent.
Whether it’s an IRL or a URL, the Ozworld Collection boldly represents a platform for style experimentation and a rallying cry for the pursuit of personal expression. Building on this undeniable spirit, the companion web experience supports the essence of individual characters rather than physical appearances by prompting users to answer a series of questions — including choosing their preferred Ozworld shoe silhouette — in order to learn more about their identity. Once this information is shared, the platform will translate the input into a unique digital avatar that draws aesthetic inspiration from the group’s dynamic visual icons.
After creating their characters, users can experiment by moving their avatars, as well as try digitally and buy sneakers from the collection. Meanwhile, every user will be able to download Ozworld’s alter ego to post as stickers and GIFs via their social media accounts.
A bold new step into the future of personal expression in the virtual world – each unique avatar will be able to cross the web through a customized partnership with Ready Player Me. This is the brand’s first partnership that pushes the boundaries of the platform – providing interoperability in generative avatars with over 1,500 different metaverse apps and games.
The launch of the Ozworld platform is a bold step in adidas Originals’ ambition to create a truly open and optimistic Metaverse for all, by supporting new possibilities for creation, collaboration and belonging. As a leading voice of original thinking, the brand opens up a unique new space for self-expression that is accessible and affordable for all.
A new playground to co-create with the brand community, the experience launches to the public on April 8 at http://ozworld.adidas.com/. Meanwhile, adiClub members and adidas NFT holders will be given early access via a unique URL, with the first batch of avatars arriving on April 28.y via metaverse.
