Aric Hutchinson, whose wife was killed while returning from their own wedding, has filed a lawsuit against the 25-year-old woman who was involved in the crash and several bars where the woman was clearly drunk on a night out. The suit was filed May 17 in district court in Charleston, South Carolina. According to CNN, it was directed against 25-year-old Jamie Lee Komaroski and several bars that allegedly served the woman despite signs of intoxication the night of the accident. On the evening of April 28, in Folly Beach, Komarosky sped off in a decorated golf cart in which 36-year-old Eric Hutchinson and his wife, 34-year-old Samantha, were returning from their wedding. . In the lawsuit, Eric Hutchinson contends the woman went to several bars and restaurants in Charleston and Folly Beach that evening. “Despite the fact that she was clearly intoxicated, she was regularly served at each of these establishments and allowed to consume alcohol,” it pointed out.
The 25-year-old’s blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit at the time of the crash, according to a South Carolina law enforcement report. It was 2.6 per milliliter, the legal limit in the state is 0.8 per milliliter. Gomaroski was driving at 105 km/h in an area with a 40 km/h speed limit.

The 34-year-old husband gave his first interview
Hutchinson spoke for the first time since the accident and told “Good Morning America” about how he is coping with the loss of his girlfriend. – She was very happy. Most people know that planning a wedding can be very stressful. She was strangely quiet that night, he said. He also insisted that the wedding was one of the best nights of his life. The 25-year-old criminal, according to him, “took away a wonderful man who should not have been taken.”
Hutchinson admitted that he remembers the last words he heard from his wife moments before the crash. “I remember her saying she didn’t want the night to end,” she recalled. Waking up in the hospital “Where’s Sam?” The next thing he remembers is asking. “Then my mother told me there was an accident and Sam didn’t survive,” she added.
The 25-year-old perpetrator of the tragedy has already been charged with three counts of reckless homicide and drunken driving causing grievous bodily harm.
