Four flight attendants were injured during turbulence last week, American Airlines said Monday.
The airline told Fox News Digital that the crew members were on board Flight 2905, which departed on Aug. 8 from Tampa International Airport in Florida to Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina.
American Airlines said the four flight attendants were taken to a local hospital for further evaluation, and the extent of their injuries was not disclosed.
None of the 154 passengers were injured.
“American Airlines Flight 2905 carrying passengers from Tampa (TPA) to Charlotte (CLT) landed safely at Charlotte (CLT) Airport after experiencing unexpected turbulence,” an airline spokesperson said. Fox News Digital“We thank our staff members for their professionalism and our customers for their understanding.”
The incident occurred one day before a Brazilian passenger plane crashed, killing all 62 people on board.
A twin-engine ATR 72 turboprop aircraft crashed into a residential area in the city of Vinhedo.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
