Intelligence Unit 8200 said in its document that within three weeks of the terror attack, selected Hamas forces carried out maneuvers and attacks on military targets and kibbutzim in southern Israel, the French daily quoted Israeli broadcaster KAN as saying.
Commanders in charge of intelligence focused on the Gaza Strip were aware of the report, which warned that Hamas intended to kidnap “200 to 250 people,” KAN reported, citing security sources.
