Apple has reserved nearly 90% of first-generation 3-nanometer chip provider TSMC’s processing capacity this year for future iPhones, Macs and iPads, according to industry sources cited by it. DigiTimeswhich provided the Taiwanese foundry with significant growth momentum in the second half of 2023.

The Apple M3 chip for Mac and iPad is also expected to use the 3nm process. New iPad Pro models released next year are likely to be powered by M3 chips, while Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models coming in 2024 will have M3 Pro and M3 Max chips.
