Alyaksandr Lukashenko took part in the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow on May 9 and then in Minsk, after which he disappeared from public space, wrote the independent Belarusian portal Jerkalo. Journalists added that the leader’s official website and other sources related to him did not contain any information about the events he participated in.
“How difficult the Victory Day celebrations were for Alyaksandr Lukashenko, this raises many questions about his health,” wrote the Latvian-registered portal Zerkalo. During Lukashenko’s visit to Moscow, where he participated in the celebrations of the 78th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory over fascism, his health problems became apparent. The leader could not walk 300 meters. After returning to Minsk from Moscow, he did not deliver the traditional speech in front of the Victory Monument, independent journalists noted.

Lukashenka “has not appeared in public since May 9,” the Zerkalo portal wrote. Journalists examined the president’s schedule in April to compare how often he appeared in public during the same period last month.

“A version about the virus is circulating in nomenklatura circles,” the independent Belarusian portal Nasha Niva reported, citing its own sources. – Many members of Lukashenko’s entourage are already ill and have actually collapsed. The portal recalled that on May 5, Lukashenko had a rough voice while presenting awards to representatives of the repressive apparatus.
