Pritchett remembers working in retail during the previous Black Fridays, when stores were preparing to receive a large number of shoppers.
“We’ll probably get there around midnight, get everything ready,” Pritchett said. “We let people in early, gave them donuts and coffee, you know, to try and slow down the stampede and stuff, and it was busy. But he was also one of those who was always fun, and kind of went like.”
He continued, “I think it’s a sign of the way the world is. Virtual learning, virtual buying, everyone just wants to be able to sit on their couch and order what they want.”

Pritchett said he also shops online, but seeing no lines from the stores is kind of sad.
“You miss that relationship. Clients who used to come, you know, that sort of thing,” he said. “Now, just like a lot of things in the world, it’s just transactional. Nobody has that interaction anymore.”
