Disney is currently developing a new island destination – Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. The company announced the news at Destination D23 on Saturday.

Disney has been developing a special destination for the Disney Cruise Line at Lighthouse Point for years, with construction on the project starting in March 2022 after its initial announcement in 2019. “A Celebration of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow” The presentation at Destination D23 provided us with the name project for the first time.

Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is located at the end of Eleuthera Island and will use 90% solar energy to help preserve the environment. It will be Disney’s second special destination in the Bahamas, joining Disney’s Castaway Cay. Disney Cruise Line will begin sailing to Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point in 2024. Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is the latest development in what the Disney Parks Blog describes as a “period of growth like no other before” for Disney Cruise Line.
Disney Cruise Line revealed details about its sixth ship, Disney Treasure, in the days leading up to Destination D23 2023. The ship will be the same size and design as Disney Wish, which launched in 2022, and will feature “Coco” and Marvel-inspired dinner shows, and a lounge centered around About the “Jungle Cruise”, a version of the “AquaMouse”, introduced in Disney Wish as the “first attraction at sea”. Disney Cruise Line also shared the name of its upcoming seventh ship during Destination D23 – Disney Adventure. It will be the first Disney ship to sail from Singapore and throughout Southeast Asia, and will “feature the Disney service, storytelling and entertainment everyone knows and loves,” according to the Disney Parks Blog. A date has not been set for the maiden voyage, but Disney Adventure is expected to sail in 2025 or 2026.
