Chris Rock made a bold Oscar claim for Jada Pinkett Smith during a new comedy special.
On Saturday (March 4), the comedian historically hosted a live set on Netflix titled selective angerduring which he roasted Will Smith for slapping him at the Oscars in March 2022.

He also directly addressed Smith’s slap, saying he “took this punch” like former professional boxer Manny Pacquiao.
In 2022, Smith walked the Oscars stage to hit rockstar after the comic star made a joke about Pinkett Smith.
Later in the ceremony, Smith was awarded Best Actor for his role in King Richardand gave a tearful speech.
He is subsequently banned as a member of the Academy for 10 years, and will not be allowed to attend the 2023 ceremony.
It was tradition that Smith, as the Best Actor winner, would be invited to present the Best Actress. It is not known who will give the cup in its place.
