in The Twitter thread was posted on Friday, Co-creator Ashley Lyle expressed her gratitude towards her cast and crew for making “absolute rushers” on a season that has taken it to extremes – including an untimely death at the end of the season. As a result, some fans weren’t too happy with the way she, co-creator Bart Nickerson, and their writers decided to end things in the drama about a team of high school football players who survive a plane crash in the wilderness.

“So I know some people really enjoyed the end of the Yellowjackets… and some people… didn’t. Is getting death threats a right of passage?” Lyle wrote on Twitter. “Because I could live without it! But I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who came on this journey with us.”
