Connie Britton explains her absence from the Emmys and apologizes for missing the 'AHS' reunion.

The actress also shared the dress she intended to wear at the event.

The actress posted in an Instagram post on Thursday the pictures She herself appeared wearing a beautiful pink dress with sparkly high heels, and had a big smile on her face as she posed in front of the camera.

In the caption, Britton, 56, began by apologizing to Dylan McDermott, her co-star in the first season of “American horror storyfranchise called “Murder House” for not being able to reunite on the show where she and McDermott were scheduled to present the award for Lead Actor in a Series, Limited Movie or Anthology.

McDermott, 62, portrayed Ben Harmon, who is married to Vivienne Harmon, played by Britton on the show.

She also dedicated the apology to Anthony Anderson, who played the villain Rubber Man in the popular series and was the host at the Emmys.

“Dear @dylan.mcdermott and #Rubberman, I'm so sorry I had to miss joining you on Monday at the #Emmyawards for @ahsfx!” I wrote in the comment.

“Even though I may have gotten pregnant with the Antichrist by at least one, if not both of you, I was really looking forward to seeing you on the big Emmy stage and remembering those old scary days.”

While sharing the outfit she planned to wear to the Emmys, Britton explained the reason she couldn't attend the event which was due to the snow storm in New York.

“I wanted to send my 'Amy Pictures' because that's as far as I got before I was alerted that due to a snowstorm in New York, I had to hop on the next plane in order to get to work on time the next day,” she continued.

After thanking her glam team for helping her prepare the dress, she joked, “I was definitely the most stylish person on my cross-country trip that evening!”

“Congratulations to all the nominees and winners! See you next year!” She concluded her post before sending a message to Anderson, writing, “And #Rubberman… don't be weird. I love Connie.”

In response, McDermott wrote in the comments section of the post: “You look great! #Rubberman sending his best!”

Britton and McDermott were part of the original cast members of the series “American Horror Story” in 2011. They later reprized their role in the eighth season of “Apocalypse” in 2018.
