Where did the accident happen? The collision took place on the A3 highway towards Würzburg in the German state of Hesse on Monday, June 5. Four trucks collided between Diez and Limburg.
How did the accident go? Polsat reports that traffic on the road has been halted due to a small pothole. One of the truck drivers – 32-year-old Kambam – managed to brake. The next driver, a 40-year-old man from Bosnia and Herzegovina, did the same. The next lorry, driven by a 54-year-old man, did not brake in time and rammed into the vehicle in front. Finally, the Pole’s car crashes into a Hungarian driver’s truck.
What are the consequences of the accident? The 54-year-old driver from Poland was injured. Paramedics rushed him to the hospital. Two lanes of the highway were closed for 7 hours due to the collision, which trapped cars. Then there was a traffic jam for 4 km.
Here are the estimated carrom costs. One of the trucks involved in the collision was carrying industrial robots. German police officials initially estimated losses at EUR 1.5 million, or PLN 6.7 million.
