Dixie D’Amelio was rushed to the hospital by ambulance Thursday after she felt “fainting” while preparing to launch her shoe brand in West Hollywood.
Informed sources TMZ The TikTok star, 21, was working in the late afternoon when she started to feel “fainting” and as a precaution, “an ambulance was called to take her to the hospital.”
The fire department was also sent to Sunset Plaza for a possible seizure before this star was taken to the hospital.
The entertainment tabloid reported that the media personality’s condition was not “critical” and was told she was “dehydrated” and was immediately given an “intravenous injection with fluids”.
In fact, sources revealed to TMZ that the Be Happy singer, who has been embracing her new platinum locks, still plans to appear at the D’Amelio Footwear launch party later Thursday.
The media star shared an update of her own on Snapchat, uploading a selfie while she was sitting on a hospital bed while hooked up to some monitors. Dixie then added a second selfie in response to a question that read, “Are you okay?” She humorously replied, “I got really excited about the shoe launch.”
Later Thursday at the launch of the family’s D’Amelio shoes, Charlie, the star’s sister, gave an additional update while speaking to Entertainment tonight.
She was just dehydrated and got some fluids. But she’ll be at the D’Amelio Footwear launch party tonight, so you’ll see. It’s coming, it’s just getting ready now.
The singer teamed up with her younger sister Charli and mother Heidi to create the shoe collection, along with designer Lauren DiCicco, who has worked with other celebrities like Jessica Simpson.
The new brand offers a variety of styles and categories, such as sneakers, heels, boots, as well as sandals.
Before the brief hospital scare, Dixie took to her social media, including Instagram and Snapchat, to count down the hours until the shoes were officially released to fans and consumers.
She had taken a close-up selfie wearing a white T-shirt and partially showing off her freshly dyed blonde locks. She showed a link to the brand’s website, and wrote in a comment, “1 hour.”
The star then filmed herself telling the camera, “The shoes are officially down,” while linking to the official website. In her right hand, Dixie held a pair of $99 black Karyenaa pumps from the brand.
In another photo, she’s wearing a pair of baggy black jeans with a yellow stripe on each side, along with a matching denim jacket. She just added a black bra underneath and slipped into a pair of $189 black Camdon boots while posing outdoors.
“Durable shoes,” she wrote in the caption of the photo, and also gave her fans and followers a closer look at the details of the black platform shoes.

From the name, to the designs, to the packaging. We wanted to make sure the shoes were something we could wear, but also were really comfortable.
They later added, “It was also important for us to try to maintain quality, while producing shoes at a lower price point so that it would be achievable for our audience.”
When it comes to differences in terms of creativity, the trio explained, “We don’t always agree, but that’s the fun part of working together. It’s fun to have a joking and constructive discussion about our different styles and preferences, even down to the best colors.”

Dixie herself is no stranger to the shoe world, and has been a Puma brand ambassador since 2021. Earlier in March, the Someone To Blame singer launched her limited edition PUMA x DIXIE collection.
She said, ‘I had so much fun choosing styles that align with what I personally gravitate towards in my everyday fashion. the people on time.
“I really wanted to highlight the versatility of these shoes with a selection that could go with anything in anyone’s wardrobe.”
Earlier this year during Paris Fashion Week, Dixie debuted her new platinum blonde locks and sexy pixie haircut.
The media personality told People that her new hairstyle, “allowed me to play up the edgier side of myself that I’m naturally drawn to.”
She also gushed, “It’s been so much fun embracing short hair and curating looks that really highlight it.”
