Former US President Donald Trump is facing charges after turning himself in to authorities for his work to rig the 2020 presidential election. As CNN predicted, Trump was soon released from Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, Georgia after posting $200,000 bail. His photo was taken in jail for the first time, CNN reported, citing the local sheriff’s office.
Last Monday, investigators in Fulton County charged Donald Trump with 13 charges, the most important of which was participating in a criminal conspiracy to illegally alter the state’s 2020 election results. Along with him, 18 others were indicted, including his former lawyer Rudy Giuliani and White House chief of staff Mark Meadows. Several co-defendants, including Giuliani and Meadows, have already turned themselves in to Georgia authorities.

CNN portal reported that Trump left his golf club in New Jersey and went to Atlanta before 10 pm.
The former US president appeared at the Fulton County Jail at 1:30 a.m. in Poland (7:30 p.m. in Atlanta). He stayed there for 20 minutes – as CNN wrote, referring to the sheriff’s office – during which a photo of the former US president was taken.
As CNN predicted, Trump was soon released from custody. His lawyers negotiated $200,000 bail with authorities, and the former president refrained from threatening witnesses and co-defendants, including on social media.
Trump’s Legal Troubles
