A woman from Ecuador woke up in a coffin hours after being presumed dead. The 76-year-old was rushed to hospital where he was declared brought dead. The local health ministry is investigating the matter.
Bella Montoya, 76, died Friday at the General Hospital in Papahoyo, Ecuador. At least that’s what the doctors who treated the old lady said.
After receiving the death certificate, the girl’s family started preparations for their loved one’s funeral. The body of the 76-year-old was taken to the mortuary and placed in a coffin.

Five hours later, a knock came from inside the wooden box. After opening the lid, the woman who was thought to be dead is revealed to be alive.

A video posted on social media clearly shows the semi-conscious elderly woman struggling to breathe.
His son, 76, said he was rushed back to the hospital where he was already pronounced dead.
– My mother is on oxygen. Her heart is steady. The doctor pinched her hand and she responded. They tell me it’s a good sign because he is gradually regaining consciousness,” the person said.

Ecuador’s Ministry of Health has spoken about this. According to the report, a 76-year-old patient admitted to the hospital with a suspected stroke suffered cardiac and respiratory arrest.
Despite resuscitation, the woman’s body would not react, so the doctor on duty pronounced the elderly woman dead.
