The A26 class submarines are due to be commissioned within three years. They are known to be called Blekinge and Skåne. “The ships will patrol NATO's eastern flank in the Baltic Sea, monitoring and countering Russian maritime movements in the face of ever-deteriorating relations between Russia and Europe.“- asserts the Politico website.
The Baltic states are also responding to the growing threat from Russia. The concept, signed on Friday by the defense ministers of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, envisages the establishment of a common defense line along NATO's eastern border. The purpose of this plan is to deter and, if necessary, defend against threats of a military nature. Construction of the forts is scheduled to begin in 2025.
2025 could be of major importance for the geopolitical situation in Europe. According to the German daily “Bild”, citing internal reports of the Bundeswehr, next year may be the peak of Russia's aggressive actions, which will eventually lead to war with NATO.
The German “BUILD” report confirms that NATO finally understands that Russia is a threat, General Roman Polko, former commander of the GROM special unit, emphasized in an interview with Niezależna.pl. So the actions of the Baltic States were carried out in response to Russian aggression plans, deep rear and offensive, e.g. Königsberg was connected to the region via Lithuania – he adds.
Russia is also now dealing with the civil conflict in Ukraine between President Zelensky and Army Chief General Zalushny. There, the harsh words of the president were uttered: “The public are idiots from Soviet schools.” In turn, Załużny said, “Politicians are idiots who disturb the army.” Add to this reports of corruption in Ukraine and a second Ukrainian army outside its borders, all of which are being used by Russian internet trolls for propaganda attacks.
Therefore, it is very important to not allow politicians to divide themselves when it comes to security within Poland, but to follow a line correctly presented by Polish President Andrzej Duda, which reassures Poland. Security. Security issues need to be looked at together. It is also important to induce similar thinking in other European countries, especially Hungary, which lags behind NATO in this regard and is also the Kremlin's Trojan horse in the alliance. The evidence is, among other things, the annexation of Sweden or the blocking of support funds for Ukraine.
There are several elements that need to be implemented in Budapest. We should also ask ourselves if we want to ally with a state that values its own interests above collective security rather than thinking in terms of collective security.
I certainly expect more action from Russia. The Kremlin wants to use, among other things: less interest in the Ukrainian issue than what is happening in the Middle East or to win the war through propaganda and weaken Ukraine's morale. After the attack by Hamas terrorists on Israel in October last year. The activity of pro-Russian internet trolls has quadrupled. They will do everything to win over Russia and distract Ukraine. And so the West forgets the need to support Kiev for its own security.
