Many celebrities from the Indian music industry have paid homage to Krishnakumar Kunath, better known as KK, after the death of the famous playback singer.
Celebrity singer Sonu Nigam, a Padma Shri recipient, took to Instagram and wrote, “KK mere bhai, not done”. Notably, the popular Bollywood song Mehki Hawaon Mein was sung by KK and Sonu Nigam.
Singer Shreya Ghoshal, winner of four National Film Awards, tweeted, “I can’t get around this news. Numb. #KK WHY! This is so hard to accept! Heart is ripped.”

Vishal Dadlani, who is also a famous singer, songwriter, composer and singer from one of the leading Indian rock bands called Pentagram, also expressed his grief over the incident.
He wrote on Twitter, “Tears won’t stop. What a man. What a voice, what a heart, what a human being. #KK FOREVER!!!”

Popular singer Mohit Chauhan paid tribute to KK’s death anniversary. He tweeted, “KK…not a fair guy. Not your time to go. This was the last time we were together to announce a tour together. How can you go??? In shock. In grief. Dear ear friend, brother gone. RIP KK. I love you. “

Singer Krishnakumar Konath, better known as KK, passed away on Tuesday evening. The singer fell ill while performing at an event in Kolkata and was taken to CMRI Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
He was only 54 years old. One of the most versatile singers in the Hindi film industry, KK has recorded songs in several languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Bengali.
He is best known for his songs like “Zindagi Do Pal Ki” from the movie Kites, “Aankhon Mein Teri” from the movie Om Shanti Om, “Khuda Jaane” from the movie Bachna Ae Haseeno and “Tadap Tadap” from the movie Hum. Dil de Chuc Sanam among others.
