Samsung is expected to make some changes to its upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 phone, and if the new leak is anything to go by, these include a boxy design and a wider display.
Samsung’s plans for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 have been hard to keep track of. At one point, two different models at different price points were expected, while there was also talk of improvements to the display crease and more. However, some of the rumors have been contradictory, such as Samsung’s “rethink” of its budget-focused Fold phone, as well as any hints of better cameras.
But despite rumors of another fairly repetitive year, it looks like there will be some changes.
Ice universea trusted guide from Samsung, subscriber Partial image of the Next Fold, showing the boxy design on a larger scale. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 shown in the image still has a central camera hole and a metal frame. We can’t see the full cover display, so it’s hard to tell what kind of difference this design actually makes. But from what we can see, it definitely feels wider than the Fold 5 and before, and perhaps close to the OnePlus Open.
The hinge is also noticeably thinner, barely sticking out from the left side of the design, at least based on this image.
This is all in line with the leak that occurred back in February, where this boxy design first appeared.
Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 6 alongside the Flip 6 and several other new products in July.
