God of War (2018) added a New Game Plus mode a few months after its release. There, players were able to carry around equipment and acquired abilities. Players were also able to create new armor sets for Kratos and Atreus, as well as the ability to turn spells into magic. The new Game Plus mode also changed the Valkyries’ attack patterns and introduced Timed Realm Tears.
While no details have been given about God of War Ragnarok’s New Game Plus mode yet, it will likely be similar to what was implemented in the first game, such as carrying equipment and changing Berserkers’ attack patterns like they did with the Valkyries.
In IGN’s God of War Ragnarok review, we said, “A captivating sight to behold and an even more exciting scene to take control of, God of War Ragnarok blends action and adventure together to create an unforgettable new Norse epic.”
