Photos and posts filed in court on Facebook showed Sanderson riding a camel in Morocco, hiking to Machu Picchu in Peru, ziplining and biking, hiking with his girlfriend, doing Zumba, playing mini golf, exploring an escape room and more — all after a skiing accident. with Paltrow.

His defense said the retired doctor no longer performed many of the activities he liked to do before the accident and struggled to maintain relationships with loved ones.

“Terry was an energetic, high-functioning person,” Dr. Wendell Gibby told jurors last week. “Every day he was doing a lot of things. Group meetings, wine tastings, skiing, volunteer work. After the accident, his condition suddenly deteriorated and many of the activities he loved to do stopped.”

Paltrow’s team also called several experts to testify on Wednesday.

They claimed that Sanderson’s deterioration in cognitive abilities was due to old age, rather than a skiing accident.

They even said that his mind was in decline years before the star crashed.

Upon cross-examination, Sanderson’s attorneys sought to prove that his travels were part of his recovery efforts and his desire to return to his normal routine — which often includes trips across the country and the world.

“Have you always traveled in your life?” asked his client Christine Van Orman’s attorney.

Paltrow’s defense showed the photos in court to show that he had traveled the world despite the defense’s claims that he suffered traumatic brain injuries as a result of the collision with Paltrow.

“Given that time, I was determined to prove that I had no psychological problems,” he told the court. “All I did was stamp it on my record, that this guy is trying too hard.”
