In the recording, an Israeli soldier can be heard giving orders in Arabic through a megaphone. “Slow down, slow down,” he tells the man. He puts the gun down on the wall and returns to the line.
IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari confirmed the news of the surrender by Hamas fighters. “In Shejaija and Jabalija, the surrendered terrorists handed over arms and equipment,” he said.
“We have to push harder.”
Videos showing captured Palestinians have been circulating on social media for days. The Times of Israel reported that the Israeli army is going to interrogate the men.
– In recent days we have seen terrorists surrender. This is a sign that the system is in disarray and that we need to work harder,” said IDF Chief of Staff Herzey Halevy.
The film may have been shot multiple times
However, commentators on social media point out that the recording was most likely filmed multiple times. In one clip, an alleged Hamas fighter holds a gun above his head in his left hand, while in another clip, he holds a gun in his right hand.
The Internet has also indicated that these types of records are of great propaganda value to Israel.
