The video that has gone viral appears to show captured Hamas terrorists being subjected to a new form of torture – a “Baby Shark”-style children’s song played repeatedly for eight hours.
The alleged prisoners were seen blindfolded and shackled sitting on the ground amid loud strains of the song “Mamtera Im Matara,” which translates to “Sprinkler With A Target,” according to the Israeli news site. He reported otherwise.
One of the blindfolded men is seen raising his head to the repetitive music, while a woman’s voice is heard saying: “Look how happy he is” and “Check out this man.”
The song was written by Manny Mamtera, 40, whose real last name is Tzokerl – and he agreed to use it to torture jihadists, according to the Walla website.
“I don’t know if this is real or not, but the song is called ‘Mamtera Im Mamtera’ and we’re all being targeted, so let’s go,” the singer reportedly wrote about the clip.
He later added that he heard from the soldiers at the scene that it was “absolutely real” and that he was happy with the high morale of the soldiers.
One online commenter described it as “the most genius thing I’ve ever seen”, saying: “I swear I was going to kill myself after the fist verse.”
Another said the song was “real torture” – and asked Mane not to feel insulted.
But not everyone was amused.
“It’s not funny, and it’s against the POW treaty. It’s shocking,” one person wrote.
The authenticity of the video could not be independently verified.
