Harry Styles Joins Stevie Nicks in Surprise Duet in Tribute to Christine McVie

Harry Styles surprised fans by joining Stevie Nicks on stage at a concert in London on Friday night to honor former Fleetwood Mac bandmate Christine McVie.

The duo performed a duet on two of Nicks’ biggest hits, “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” and “Landslide,” to celebrate McVie’s 81st birthday.

“At the end of the show, since the end of last year and since Kristen died, I was saying something about her, and I asked Harry to do that with me, and it’s hard to ask someone to sing a heavy song about a best friend who died suddenly and very sadly,” Nicks told the earnestly listening crowd at BST Hyde Park.

Ahead of the show – in which the British artist played guitar – Nicks also told fans that they had helped her cope with McVie’s sudden death by letting her sing.

“My mother always used to tell me when I was a kid: When I was hurting, she would say, ‘Stevie, when you’re hurting, you always have to run to the stage,’ and that’s what I’ve been doing since Chris died,” the singer recalled.
