Eagle-eyed viewers have announced an embarrassing editing error on the final episode of the hit HBO series, “The Last of Us.”
The post-apocalyptic drama, which garnered rave reviews from critics, follows two survivors of a fungal pandemic that turns the infected into zombie-like creatures.
The sixth episode of the show aired on Sunday, showing the couple traversing the snowy Wyoming wilderness — only they weren’t alone.
Chase Osborne opposed TikTok took over to share a screenshot showing the film crew clearly visible in a scene filmed over drones.
“About 15 minutes later. Maybe they accidentally left a few of the film crew in on the shot,” Osbourne captioned the viral video, which has more than 216,000 views.
Dozens of other TikTok users have taken to the comments section saying they too have noticed the bug.
“HBO editors are always slacking,” one wrote.
How do these multi-million dollar products miss out on this stuff? Another angry viewer said I value the most with my 5 minute drone YouTube video.
Meanwhile, many others claimed the awkward moment was reminiscent of an infamous editing mistake that came from HBO.
Back in 2019, the network was left red-faced when an outdated coffee cup was brought up on an episode of “Game of Thrones.”
However, other viewers defended the editors of “The Last of Us”, saying that the show was so interesting that they simply did not notice the slight error.
“I was too distracted looking at the beautiful view instead of focusing on the little problems they missed,” declared one advocate.
“Brother, who looks at the edges of the screen?” another asked.
Based on the 2013 best-selling video game of the same name, “The Last of Us” follows Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) as they travel across the United States in the aftermath of a fungus pandemic that has devastated society.
The series was smash hit for HBO, Bringing over 7.5 million viewers on cable and millions more on HBO Max.
