Intel’s Core i7-13700T Raptor Lake CPU is 35W faster than the Ryzen 7 5800X and 125W Core i5-12600K 105W CPU in benchmark drop

New benchmarks for the Intel Core i7-13700T processor, 35W Raptor Lake CPU, have been leaked, showing impressive performance numbers.

The 13th generation Intel Raptor Lake processors will come in three flavors, K-series, Non-K series, and T-Series. The K Series are unlocked designs with TDPs ranging from 125 watts (PL1) up to 253 watts (PL2). Then there are the Non-K parts which are TDPs ranging from 65W (PL1) to 200W (PL2). Finally, there are T-series SKUs which are optimized for low-power devices and feature a base TDP of 35 Watts (PL1) and a maximum TDP of around 100 Watts (PL2). The leaked sample we saw today is also a part of the T series known as the Intel Core i7-13700T.

Intel Core i7-13700T CPU detected by Seating in different Geekbench 5 The rolls, however, share the same basic configuration as the other Core i7-13700 SKUs. Variations within clock speeds. The CPU comes with 16 cores (8 cores + 8 electronic cores) and 24 threads. There is 30MB of L3 cache, the base clock speed is 1.40GHz, and the clock speed is increased up to 4.90GHz.

In terms of performance, the CPU scored 1,939 points in the single-core and 11,564 points in the multi-core test inside Geekbench 5. This means that the CPU is already on par with the Core i9-12900K in stock with single-core loads. On multi-core loads, the CPU finishes 11% faster than the Ryzen 7 5800X and on par with the Core i5-12600K. Moreover, the CPU was running on the DDR4 platform which would be a huge advantage for low power consumers considering that DDR5 motherboards cost more and can also consume higher power. Here are the results:

That’s a pretty nice width of the 35W part, and even if the chip ends up with a max PL2 TDP of 106W (like the 12900T), the CPU will still be ahead of the Ryzen 7 5800X which has a max packet power of 142W and also the 12600K that has a PL2 rating. It is 150 watts.

Intel 13th Generation Desktop CPUs from Raptor Lake Including the flagship Core i9-13900K is is expected It will be launched in October on the Z790 platform. CPUs will go against AMD’s Ryzen 7000 CPU lineup which will also launch in fall 2022. Raptor Lake’s initial storage units will only include K-series chipsets with non-K CPUs expected to launch soon after mainstream motherboards.
