Nick Cannon is expected to fill his role as guest host for the sixth season of the game show Shazam won After Jamie Foxx’s continuous hospitalization.
Foxx regularly hosts and executive produces Shazam won, which also features his daughter, Corinne (also an activist, CEO, and producer) in the deejay series. On April 12, Corinne responded to reports that her father was hospitalized while filming the upcoming Netflix movie, back at work, in Atlanta. In a statement on Instagram, she expressed that the actor, musician, and comedian has “suffered medical complications” but is “on the road to recovery.”
“We wanted to share that, my dad, Jamie Foxx, had medical complications yesterday. Luckily, due to quick work and great care, he is already on the road to recovery.” Since her statement, no further updates have been given about Jamie Foxx.
In his first public statement, Foxx took to Instagram shortly after to share a brief message thanking everyone for their well wishes.
“Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,” Fox books.
Meanwhile on his Instagram story, Foxx thanked Cannon for filling in for hosting Shazam won In his absence: “I appreciate you @nickcannon. See you all soon,” he wrote while sharing a screenshot of Corinne’s post as he shared the news.
