This is her…at the 2024 Met Gala.
Although Jennifer Lopez is no stranger to a stunning red carpet dress, she definitely went all out on the first Monday in May.
While walking the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the “Jenny From the Block” singer, 54, looked stunning in a custom design from Schiaparelli Haute Couture.
The mermaid-style dress was made of sheer tulle, covered in sparkling rhinestones and pearls, and finished with a flowing train.
According to a press release from the fashion brand, the stunning dress featured 2,500,000 silver foil bugles and beads and took 800 hours of hand embroidery work.
She brought along plenty of embellishments in the form of a massive necklace from Tiffany & Co. The piece contains more than 75 carats of diamonds, including one 20-carat stone.
In all, the star was dripping in over 100 carats of Tiffany & Co. diamonds.
She added matching earrings and a bracelet, and wore platform heels from Andrea Wazen to match her dress.
As usual, Lopez also shined, as the star arranged her hair in a high bun, and finished her look with glowing bronze makeup.
While her dress wasn’t necessarily directly related to the event’s theme, “Sleeping Beauty: Fashion Again,” her hummingbird-shaped diamond necklace certainly fit the bill for the nature-themed event.
She also serves as one of the co-chairs of the Met Gala alongside Zendaya, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth, who dressed in Maison Margiela and Tom Ford, respectively.
Although the “Maid in Manhattan” actress skipped the star-studded fundraiser in 2022, she returned to the red carpet at last year’s Met Gala in a stunning Ralph Lauren design, showing off her abs in a black and pink gown that featured a revealing crisscross slit. Design on the front.
In 2021, she had a Western-inspired moment, leaning into the “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion” theme with a wide-brimmed hat and cowboy gear, also by Ralph Lauren.
However, while Lopez may have no problem stealing the spotlight with her look, she’s set to officially take center stage this summer, performing on her new tour, “This Is Me…Live | The Greatest Hits,” which brought back Named it to be a concert spanning the course of her career rather than focusing on her latest album.
The concert series comes after the release of her artistic work, “This Is Me… Now,” in addition to a musical film, “This Is Me…Now: A Love Story” And her documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told.
