Kevin Spacey is optimistic about returning to his career if he is cleared of the sexual assault allegations made against him in London.
In a recent interview, house of cards Alum said he has people interested in working with him.
βI know there are people now who are willing to hire me the moment I am cleared of these charges in London. The second that happens, they are ready to move on,β Spacey said. ZEITmagazin.
Space also said “It’s a time when a lot of people are very afraid that if they support me, they’ll be cancelled.”
The actor appeared in court last month via video as it was confirmed that the trial will begin on June 28. Spacey had previously pleaded not guilty to 12 counts of alleged crimes against four men, which were said to have occurred between 2001 and 2013.
This past July, Spacey denied five of those charges related to four counts of sexual assault and one allegation of engaging in sexual activity without consent. In January, the actor denied seven additional charges.
Spacey hopes the trial will move in the same direction as the Anthony Rapp case in which he is accused American beauty Representative of sexual misconduct.
“The moment an audit is applied, these things fall apart,” Spacey told ZEITmagazin. “That’s what happened in the Raab trial, and that’s what will happen in this case.”
Spacey was found not liable in the $40 million lawsuit.
