Logitech has just announced an unexpected sequel to its decade-old Keys-To-Go keyboard, with the Keys-To-Go 2 shipping this month with an all-new design, updated features, and more.
Original Logitech keys for navigation It was announced back in 2014. The idea of the keyboard was to offer a wireless keyboard as thin as possible, managing to measure just 6.1mm. The product is still available in the years since It was last slightly updated in 2022.
Now, Logitech Keys-To-Go 2 is on its way.
The new generation brings a completely new design. Instead of being a thin keyboard made of fabric, this one has proper keys with keys on a plastic surface. It also has a built-in cover that flips back to leave the keys ready for typing, and then covers the keyboard when not in use. Recycled plastic is also used in the construction of Keys-To-Go 2, amounting to 36% of the total construction.
The keyboard is still very thin, measuring 4.57mm at its thinnest point, and 8.77mm at its thickest point when closed.
As such, it’s actually too thin to create a charging port. Instead, it uses coin cell batteries that Logitech says will last up to 36 months. The keyboard also supports Logitech’s “Easy-Switch” keys so you can switch between multiple devices. It also supports Logi Options+ on Windows and macOS for customizable features.
The keyboard itself is a little smaller than what you get with an official tablet keyboard, but it still has large keys and a regular layout.
Logitech will offer the Keys-To-Go 2 for $79.99 in two variants, one for Apple devices and one with a “universal” design. Both types are available in lilac, pale gray and graphite colours. Units begin shipping later this month Starting from the Logitech website.
