The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, gave a two-hour interview to the reporter Diana Panchenko, a Ukrainian-born woman who worked in pro-Russian media and justified Russian crimes – the Security Service of Ukraine opened an investigation into her.
“The poles rub their hands with joy”
Asked about the situation in Ukraine, Lukashenko said: – Russia will crush your personnel and equipment now. […] Russia has changed. Currently, Russia has the most modern weapons on the front, he told reporters.
Again presented a ridiculous thesis that Poland hopes to seize part of the territory of Ukraine. The Poles rub their hands with glee. Pushed by the Americans, they would cut off the West. You will only have this small piece, if anything,” the Belarusian leader said.
Lukashenka on relations with Putin
A significant part of the interview was devoted to Lukashenka’s relations with Vladimir Putin. “It doesn’t happen as some people in the West try to portray it. The so-called opposition says that Lukashenko does everything Putin says. Those who know me understand very well that it is impossible,” he said.
Diana Panchenko said that the view that the Russian government is weak is being promoted in Ukraine after the failed march of the Wagner group in Moscow. “Putin is not entirely the person we know. His character traits have multiplied. […] He is not old anymore. He is now smart and cunning,” Lukashenko said.
He was also asked if Putin is “crazy”: – No, Putin is not crazy. I can guarantee it one hundred percent. As for imperial ambitions, I have never seen them. Russia is a great empire, what can I say? Of course, it leaves its mark on a person’s character, he replied.
He said that Putin will win the presidential election to be held in 6 months. He added that nobody can challenge Putin now.
