Microsoft announces the Xbox Game Pass April 2024 Wave 2 lineup

Microsoft has announced the second wave of games coming to Game Pass in April 2024. Highlights include Orcs Must Die! 3, Eiyuden Chronicle: One hundred heroes and impatiently waiting Manor Lords.

Today, April 16, Harold Halibut's narrative game from Slow Bros (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series Harold Halibut's review from IGN gave it a rating of 8/10. We called it “a healthy, handcrafted adventure with a lot of heart.”

Tomorrow, April 17, Robot Entertainment's Orcs Must Die! 3 (Cloud, console, PC) accesses Game Pass. Orcs must die! 3 It received a 7/10 in IGN's review. We said it's “very familiar to players of the second game but still a fun and goofy action/tower defense challenge.”

A day later, on April 18, EA Sports NHL 24 (console) will launch on Game Pass Ultimate via EA Play, just in time for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. “NHL 24's new gameplay features reinvigorate the on-ice action, but its collection of unrefined game modes has become increasingly boring with each passing year,” we said in IGN's NHL 24 review.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes (Cloud, Console, PC) arrives on Game Pass as a day one release on April 23. Set in a hand-crafted 2.5D world, Rabbit & Bear's massive JRPG lets you assemble six party parties from a crew of over a hundred heroes.

Another Day 1 Game Pass launch is Another Crab's Treasure (cloud, console, PC), which will be released on April 25. Aggro Crab Games' spiritual adventure takes place in a dilapidated underwater world. You play as Krill, a hermit crab.

April 26 will see Slavic Magic's Manor Lords (Game Preview) (PC) launch as a day one Game Pass release. Manor Lords is a medieval strategy game featuring in-depth city building, large-scale tactical battles, and complex economic and social simulation. It's the best wishlisted game on Steam, beating out the likes of Hades 2 and Hollo Knight: Silksong.

Finally, Magic Design Studios' Have A Nice Death (cloud, console, PC) concludes this month, which will release on Game Pass on April 30. IGN gave “Have A Nice Death” an 8/10 in our review: “Have A Nice Death is a punishing but satisfying roguelike with some very difficult boss battles, but it could be less stingy with long-term progression.”

Meanwhile, Microsoft announced more games coming to Game Pass Core on April 23. Three games have been added to the library for subscribers:
