Hannah Montana star Mitchell Musso has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and public intoxication after stealing a packet of potato chips.
The actor played Oliver Oakin in the Disney sitcom, starring alongside Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus.
NBC reported that police were called Saturday to a hotel in Rockwell, Texas where the 32-year-old allegedly stole potato chips.
BBC News asked representatives for Musso for comment.
When asked to pay for the potato chips, Musso allegedly refused and became verbally abusive.
Police conducted a background check on Musso, who reportedly found the actor had several outstanding traffic warrants.
Musso spent the night in jail but was released on Sunday on $1,000 (£793) bail.
The actor also faces charges of expired vehicle registration, failure to show driver’s license, and violation of a “promise to appear” notice.
Musso was previously arrested for drink driving in Burbank, California, in 2011.
For this offense, he was fined, sentenced to 36 months of unofficial probation, and required to attend alcohol education classes.
The American sitcom Hannah Montana, which ran for four seasons between 2006 and 2011, revolved around a teenage girl who led a double life as a famous pop star.
It starred Miley Cyrus, who went on to enjoy a successful solo career, opposite her real-life father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus.
Since the show ended, Musso has voiced a character in another Disney series, Milo Murphy’s Law, and appeared in the films Sins of Our Youth and Sand.
