Peacock and Sky have revealed a first look at their upcoming new series. jackal dayStarring Eddie Redmayne, Lashana Lynch, and Ursula Corbero. The teaser above premiered Friday night during NBC and Peacock’s coverage of the Paris 2024 Olympics opening ceremony.

Based on the novel by Frederick Forsyth and the 1973 film adaptation by Universal, the series tells the story of an unparalleled and extremely elusive lone assassin, the Jackal (Redmayne), who makes his living by executing high-profile killings.
But after his final kill, he meets his nemesis, a dogged British intelligence officer (Lynch), who begins to track the Fox on a thrilling chase across Europe, leaving destruction in his wake. The new version has been reimagined as a contemporary story set amidst the current turbulent geopolitical landscape and will delve deeper into the chameleon-like antihero.
big boy Writer and creator Ronan Bennett writes and serves as producer on the show. Brian Kirk, who has directed episodes of game of thrones And LutherThe film will be directed by Ronald Ricard. It is produced by Carnival Films, a subsidiary of Universal International Studios, which is known for producing Downton Abbey.
