Jack Harlow’s halftime performance at the Lions-Packers Thanksgiving game didn’t go down well on social media.
The “Tyler Hero” rapper took to Ford Field at halftime to perform a medley of his hits, but it’s fair to say NFL fans weren’t feeling it.
ESPN’s Pat McAfee said: “Looks like Jack Harlow didn’t have a chance with this set design.. he was walking on plastic at one point.”
“I love Jack Harlow but the production value of this intermission set is pathetic,” one person wrote.
Another said: “Glad I’m not the only one who hates Jack Harlow’s halftime show…it was trash.”
A third commented: “Jack Harlow is actually quite bad, how popular is he?”
“Jack Harlow with the worst halftime show I’ve ever seen,” a fourth commented.
“Jack Harlow’s performance is terrible,” said another person.
Many also didn’t seem to understand the theme of the performance, which featured a giant igloo and lots of cheerleaders.
The show doesn’t seem to be going any better inside Ford Field either. The atmosphere was quiet at best and failed to motivate the attendees.
It was announced in October that Harlow would perform during halftime of the game between the Lions and Packers.
“I’m proud to say that I will be performing the halftime show at the Detroit Thanksgiving game here in a little less than a month,” Harlow announced after the news broke.
The 25-year-old is known for the songs “Tyler Herro,” “First Class,” “WHATS POPPIN” and “Nail Tech.” He has also worked with the likes of Drake, Eminem, Drake and Lil Wayne, and has been nominated for six Grammy Awards.
Harlow also made his acting debut in 2023 in the film White Men Can’t Jump.
The Packers took a 23-6 lead into the first half after QB Jordan Love threw two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Lions midfielder Jared Goff lost two steps in an absolutely horrific 30-minute display for the home team.
Love was 15 of 20 passing for 189 yards and two scores while Goff was 8 of 16 for 100 yards.
